Mahona K'ota is the cventaur shaman of the Whispering Grass tribe. He was encountered by those Kingmaker Heroes that journeyed to Varnhold following the Geas placed upon them by Zalan Szoke, the Bard of Brevoy.
Mahona K'ota shared with them how the Whispering Grass tribe had been defeated by Maegar Varn and his men when the tribe attacked Varnhold, and how it then later came to terms with him. It is unclear whether the tribe's worship to strange gods relates to these terms, or is simply part of tribal culture.
The primary encounter occured whilst the Kingmaker Heroes were in some sort of dream state, or had travelled to another place. It is unclear whether this effect was created by Mahona K'ota, or that the meeting was coincidental.
